Section 1
Donati Gioielli is an Italian high jewellery atelier based in Bangkok, operating as a vertically integrated workshop under Italian technical direction. The atelier produces fine and high jewellery for international maisons, jewellery brand directors, family offices and trade-introduced private clients through three formulas: White Label, Co-Design and Bespoke.
The technical direction brings over thirty years of European fine jewellery experience from the workshops of Valenza, Vicenza and Milan, applied to a fully equipped manufacturing site in Bangkok. Every commission is coordinated by the same director from first brief to final delivery, with four documented Quality Gates per piece.
Donati is best known for its proprietary expandable mechanism, patented in-house, which forms the basis of the Stretchable collection (seven ring families, six bracelet families). The mechanism allows pieces to expand and contract without a clasp while holding their architecture, and is available to White Label and Co-Design partners under licence.
Section 2
Three pre-built angles for editors and journalists. Each is concrete, verifiable, and unique to Donati.
Angle 1 · Technical
Donati owns a proprietary expandable construction that lets rings and bracelets slip on without a clasp and hold their architecture under stress. It is the basis of seven ring families and six bracelet families. The technical drawings, the construction principles and a worn demonstration video are available for editorial use.
"The market has elasticated rings. Donati has an articulated one. The difference is whether the piece breaks when you stretch it." — Italian Technical Direction
Angle 2 · Business model
Donati does not sell direct to consumers. The atelier produces under client hallmarks (White Label), co-develops collections (Co-Design), and accepts single Bespoke commissions on brief. It is the European fine jewellery model exported to Bangkok, with the lead times and capacity that come with full vertical integration.
"We are the workshop. The brand on the tag is our partner's, by design." — Italian Technical Direction
Angle 3 · Geography
The same craft, the same standards, in a different city. Bangkok offered a vertically integrated supply chain (stones, casting, finishing, plating, certification) within a single metropolitan area, with proximity to Asian buyers and a labour force trained in European technique. Donati is part of a small but growing Italian jewellery diaspora in Southeast Asia.
"Bangkok is not a shortcut. It is where the supply chain is. The discipline came with us from Valenza." — Italian Technical Direction
Section 3
Pre-cleared quotes attributed to Italian Technical Direction. Free to use without further approval.
An atelier is not a factory. It is a discipline that survives outside the room where it was learned.
We do not sell at the counter. We sell to the people who sell at the counter.
A stretchable ring that fits every finger is a luxury problem solved with engineering, not with marketing.
Italian fine jewellery is a language. Bangkok is where we found enough speakers to keep speaking it.
The Quality Gate is not a slogan. It is four signatures on the back of a folder.
